What is build to order?

Build to order is all about you and what you want to do with your computer.

When you come to Compulink, you don't buy a computer off the shelf. We build every machine, from scratch, when you order it.

This is because we want to make sure the computer you buy does exactly what you need it to do. Not what a manufacturer thinks you want to do.

Why is build to order good for you?

• Your computer is built specifically to do what you need it to

• It won't contain anything you don't need or aren't going to use

• You don't have to pay for parts or functionality you aren't going to use

• Your computer will be optimised for what you are using it for

A common question we are asked is 'won't have a computer specifically designed and built for me cost more?'.  In most cases it will actually cost you less.  This is because you aren't paying for hardware and software you aren't going to use.

How does it work?

1. Come in store or give us a ring. We will then ask you some questions about what you want to do with your computer.

2. From there we'll figure out exactly what hardware and software you'll need to get the job done. We'll put all the details, specifications and costs on paper for you to review.

3. Once you give us the go ahead, we'll build your computer. (This will normally take 1-2 days). We'll give you a call and let you know its all ready to pick up.
