Netbooks are designed to get you on the internet while you are one the move. Netbooks screen size ranges between 9" and 10" and they weigh between 900g and 1.4kg.

Very popular with sales reps who need to work while on the go and travelers looking to save on luggage space.

There are two main differences between netbooks. Weight and storage space:

Lightweight

Lightweight netbooks are around 900g - 1 kg.

They will have smaller screen sizes, 7"- 9".

However, they usually only have 8GB or 16GB of storage space. This limits the amount of documents and programs you can store on the netbook.

These are perfect for sales reps who keep all their documentation on servers at the office, and only need to send information back and forth and store a limited amount of documentation.

Storage

Only slightly heavier, at 1.1kg - 1.4kg. They have larger screens, 9"- 10".

And lots of storage space. 160GB (up to 10 times more than the lightweight netbooks).

These are better for travelers who will want to store their photos, and keep track of travel documentation.
